Reading will be hoping to get another three points up on the board at Deepdale tomorrow afternoon in order to strengthen their position in the top half of the table.

Matthew Upson is hoping that the defence can keep another clean sheet, the Royals backline has conceded just two goals in their previous four matches.

However, if Marcus Hahnemann's goal is to remain unpenetrated Reading will have to keep out the Lilywhites goalscoring duo of Richard Cresswell and David Healy, the pair have nine goals between them so far this season.

Upson, a defender with Champions League experience, is hopeful the Royals can do just that.

"Personally I try not to worry too much about the opposition although I like to know which attackers I'm going to be up against," said the 23-year-old, speaking to readingfc.co.uk.

"The manager knows all about them and we've done work on the team shape. I've played against both Cresswell and Healy before, so I know what their game is.

"Preston have done well in the past couple of years, although they haven't had the best start this season. On my own performance, I'll just try to keep the ball moving and keep improving every game."
