Sixteen-year-old Colo Halit, one of the brightest young prospects in Swedish football, could become a Reading player if all goes according to plan.

The superstar, who put in a Man of the Match performance as Reading drew 1-1 with IK Brage last night, is reportedly also wanted by European giants Manchester United and Ajax.

After a performance that left boss Alan Pardew and Chief Scout Brian McDermott purring, Pards admits he will keep tabs on the youngster's progress.

"One or two of their players caught the eye and we'll have to monitor them because you don't want to play somebody and see them go onto become a big star somewhere else," said the Royals boss speaking to the official site.

The 16-year-old will go onto become a full Sweden international in the opinion of McDermott. Indeed, the former Kurd, who can play on either the left or right of midfield, has already had a trial with Manchester United.

The youngster missed much of last season with a broken leg but is back now with more than a bang.
