Royals waiting on Guthrie

Reading will check on Danny Guthrie ahead of the visit of Bolton.

Midfielder Guthrie missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Watford with a calf injury to add to manager Nigel Adkins' mounting injury worries.

Adkins is still without Wayne Bridge, Sean Morrison (both knee), Chris Baird (ankle), Hal Robson-Kanu (calf), Mikele Leigertwood (ankle), Jason Roberts (hip) and Jem Karacan (cruciate).

Striker Nick Blackman took a hefty blow at Vicarage Road but should be fit along with winger Jordan Obita, who came off with cramp.

Top scorer Jermaine Beckford will be absent when Bolton travel to Reading.

The ex-Everton forward has picked up a hamstring injury and will miss the next three weeks so Craig Davies, who is considered fully fit following several minor niggles but has not featured since November, may return to the fold.

At the other end of the pitch, boss Dougie Freedman, who is still without full-back Marc Tierney (foot) and midfielder Stuart Holden (knee), confirmed Andy Lonergan will keep his place in goal despite Adam Bogdan's return from a knee injury.

Lonergan has filled in for the first-choice Hungarian stopper since October and Freedman is unwilling to drop him at the first available opportunity.
