Pardew Staying Insists Madejski

Almost certainly on his way, despite Madejski's denials
An angry John Madejski has once more made emphatically insisted that Alan Pardew will remain as manager of Reading Football Club.

The up-and-coming 42-year-old boss has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham in recent days. Speculation has been fuelled by Pardew's media silence and his agent suggesting that he would be very keen to see what the Hammers have to offer.

However, Alan Pardew took training as normal today amid rumours that he is set to depart.

Meanwhile, Madejski has insisted that Pardew will not be allowed to leave. Pards has a get out clause in his contract which allows him to leave should a Premiership club come in for his services. However, Royals chairman John Madejski has insisted that the manager will not be allowed to join a rival team.

"We've got a contract with the manager and I believe contracts should be honoured," ascertained Madejski when speaking to the official site.

"Under the terms of his contract, the manager would be allowed to talk to a Premiership club, but we certainly won't give him permission to speak with one of our main Division One rivals."

Madejski's latest rebuffal comes hot on the heels of Friday's statement from the club which insisted: "We shall be making no further comment on this matter."

Alan Pardew is, we are led to believe, desperate to take the West Ham job. Reading MAD have heard from their sources in the inner sanctums of the Madejski Stadium that Alan Pardew is definitely going to the Hammers so we are fully expecting the deal to be completed shortly.

Other reports suggest the Upton Park side will announce their new man on Wednesday. Despite Madejski's eternal denials, it will be Pardew.
