Karacan told BBC Berkshire: "I experienced the play-offs with Steve Coppell and it killed me. I want to go out there and put things right.

"There's a few of the boys who were involved back then - there's a core to the team that have experienced a lot."

He continued: "And there's Ian Harte and Andy Griffin who've experienced Champions League football. We have boys who've won play-off games, like Matt Mills and Mikkel Leigertwood.

If you'd said to us at the start of the season, every single one of us and the fans would have taken a play-off spot

"So there's massive experience in the team and we'll be learning off them and they'll be sharing their experiences with us."

Karacan added that there is no disappointment within the squad after they missed out on automatic promotion.

"If you'd said to us at the start of the season, every single one of us and the fans would have taken that [the play-offs]," he said.

"We all need to get together now, get cheering on Saturday, get a win and push on in the next couple of games."
