Pardew's successor will be appointed this week
The Royals have confirmed that they will have their new manager installed before the end of the week, amid reports that Glenn Hoddle is set to take the job.

Kevin Dillon will take charge of the team for one final time tomorrow at Carrow Road for the game against Norwich City before the new man is handed the game in time for Saturday's home game against Bradford City.

Director of Football Nicky Hammond, who is overseeing the manager-recruiting process, revealed that the club will be conducting further interviews before installing the new man later this week.

"Kevin Dillon will be in charge at Norwich tomorrow and we will be in a position to make an announcement this week," explained Hammond, speaking to the official site.

"We've had conversations with a number of people already and will be conducting more than one interview this week."

Whilst the new manager definitely won't be Reading MAD Editor Rob Cooper, Tony Adams, Glenn Hoddle, Iain Dowie, Ronnie Moore and Steve Cotterill have all been strongly linked with the post.
