Darius Almost Ready To Return To Action

Reading's young striker Darius Henderson may be fit to return to action for the game at home to Wimbledon next week having injured his ankle in the reserve team match against Luton Town at the Madejski Stadium two weeks ago.

The big striker, who last season attracted interest from Ipswich Town, began training again today with the academy.

Whilst he hasn't done any work with the football yet, he shoulkd start training with the first team on Monday and could make it back for the behind closed doors reserve clash with Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Adie Whitbread should shortly start running again after an operation on his injured knee in the summer.

Striker Bas Savage is due to have an operation on his injured knee on Monday. He is unlikely to play again this season.
