Coppell on Doyle injury and Lita withdrawl

"He warmed up OK today but when he got involved in a tackle in the second half he just felt it again," said Coppell after Doyle had felt a slight twinge in the week leading up to the game.

"It's nothing really and we only took him off as a precaution in pre-season."

Turning attention to Leroy Lita, Coppell played down the incident that earned Lita a yellow card and an immediate substitution to save him from a red card.

Lita was shown a yellow card following an off-the-ball incident with Dons' Sean O'Hanlon, and Steve decided to replace him with Kevin Doyle, rather than risk another card and subsequent suspension.

Steve said, "Leroy felt he got a clip on the face when he was down, he reacted but it was nothing, a nothing incident.

"Given the new guidelines, the referee had to book him. I can't risk a sending off at this stage, and while I was very very confident he wouldn't get involved in anything in the second half, why even risk it?

"I've got players wanting to play, enough players on the bench. It was nothing."
