Coppell Keen On Palace Defender

Powell has been a long-time target for Coppell and the 29-year-old defender came close to moving to the Madejski Stadium in February last year, only for the move to be put on hold because the player was injured.

"We have spoken with Darren and we're just seeing what he wants to do," Coppell told the Reading Evening Post.

"Like many players, he is weighing his options up and seeing what is out there."
