Cheat!

Those fine fellows at the official site seem to be ultra observant of late don't they?

During our recent home game with Sheffield United they picked up on a Lloyd Owusu shot from 205-yards that Reading MAD sadly missed. Yes, that's right folks, 205-yards (or so they say).

And it seems they've spotted the bizarre and the ridiculous once more this weekend whilst all the rest of us have been missing out. Hands up who saw two goalies in the Reading six yard box yesterday?

Site Editor Rob Cooper wasn't at Highfield Road yesterday afternoon but wishes that he was, for he seemingly missed out on the double save of the season.

For the official site inform us that the injured Marcus Hahnemann sneaked onto the field yesterday afternoon to help out young 'keeper Jamie Ashdown.

They tell us:

"Early in the second half the Royals survived a scare when Mo Konjic flicked on a cross at the near post and McSheffrey looped a header over Hahnemann before bouncing onto the line and Ashdown pounced on the loose ball"

A close attempt if ever there was one!

We at Reading MAD love picking up on hilarious typos and inaccurate statements such as those made above. So if you spot any, why not mail them to us at rpcooper@ntlworld.com!

Even though Alan Pardew is no longer with us to fill our microphones with cliché-ridden statements, there still seems to be a minority of comedy reporters around to unintentionally add humour and spice to their otherwise intelligible comments.
