Bikey out for 3 matches

Insufficient video evidence has meant Reading FC will not appeal against the straight red card shown to Andre Bikey at Ninian Park.

Royals boss Steve Coppell told readingfc.co.uk, "We still maintain Bikey's innocence but having reviewed the video evidence available to us, the pictures do not throw any light on what actually happened.

"Whenever you appeal a sending off decision, the onus is on the appealing club to unearth video evidence that fully supports a claim, and it is especially unfortunate that the only alternative angle to the normal TV camera is obscured by a pillar right in the way.

"I still feel that nobody in the stadium saw what the referee saw, but without contrary evidence we have no case."

Bikey will miss the games against Coventry, Barnsley and Blackpool.
