Crooked Fozzy may be unable to participate in pre-season training
Forster, who will be hoping for another prolific campaign, may not be fit to begin pre-season training next week with the rest of the Reading squad, it has emerged.

Fozzy was strechered off in the Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg at Molineux after suffering a nasty ankle injury. The 29-year-old terrorised defences last season but may have to wait before he can rip pre-season backlines to shreds.

Unfortunately, as soon as Reading's golden forward was removed from the field at Molineux the game swung in the favour of the Midlands side. With Forster unable to take to the field four days later, the Royals crashed out of the Play-Offs after a valiant bid for promotion.

Reading's new challenge for Premiership football could be hit if Fozzy doesn't get up to speed quickly, the striker is instrumental to our attacking play.

Reading physio Jon Fearn commented: "Fozzy is recovering well but there is still some stiffness in his ankle.

"It's difficult to say at this stage whether he will be ready for full training next week. Forster has not been able to run for six weeks so he might be a bit behind the others in terms of fitness," explained Fearn, speaking to readingfc.co.uk.

"The last thing we'll be doing is pushing him too hard though, because there's still plenty of time before the start of the season and we don't want to risk re-injuring him before then."
