Brentford v Reading - Ticket Details

Last updated : 27 June 2003 By Rob Cooper
The utterly pointless month of June is almost at an end. Reading fans have endured a long wait for the next football match but finally the wait is almost over.

Royals supporters need not pretend to have a fleeting interest in Cricket or Tennis for much longer, life is about to get it's meaning back!

Alan Pardew's squad are nearly ready to return for pre-season training. What's more, ticket information is available for our first pre-season fixture, away at Brentford on Tuesday 15th July.

Fans who wish to attend will remember sitting (or seeing fellow supporters) in the Ealing Road Stand, behind the goal, just over a year ago as we secured our promotion to Division One. No one will ever forget the late goal from Jamie Cureton, that levelled the game, giving us the point we required to gain automatic promotion.

However, Reading fans won't be in that end this time. For the pre-season game we have been allocated the imaginatively named 'New Stand' at Griffin Park.

There are 3,800 seats available to Royals fans in the unlikely event that they will all be required. Ticket prices are as follows:

Adults £10
Concessions (Students and OAPS) £5
Under 16s £1

It may just be a meaningless pre-season friendly on paper but the tension here at Reading MAD towers is reaching breaking point already and the game is still nearly three weeks away. We cannot wait for the new season.
