Reading winger Modou Barrow facing late check ahead of Hull encounter

Reading will assess winger Modou Barrow, who has been out with a knee injury, ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash against Hull.

Defender Jordan Obita (ankle) and midfielder John Swift (hamstring) returned to the side for the midweek Carabao Cup defeat by Swansea.

Royals boss Jaap Stam had made nine changes, with only defenders Chris Gunter and Liam Moore retaining their places from last weekend's Championship draw at Brentford.

Striker Yann Kermorgant (hip/groin), forward Joseph Mendes (knee) and winger Callum Harriott (knee ligament) continue their rehabilitation.

Hull defender Ondrej Mazuch returns to contention after a knee injury and head coach Leonid Slutsky has no new issues.

Midfielder David Meyler is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after scoring the Tigers' late equaliser in last week's home draw against Sunderland.

Kevin Stewart has still not recovered from the ankle injury that has restricted him to just 10 minutes of first-team action since his summer move from Liverpool.

Fellow midfielder Evandro (hamstring), striker Abel Hernandez (Achilles), Ryan Mason (fractured skull), Moses Odubajo and Will Keane (both knee) remain sidelined.
