The Royals centre-back had a four year spell in the late nineties with the Midlands based side before returning to Reading in the summer of 2000 on a bosman transfer.

When Adie went up the M40 in 1996 his career looked set to blossom and take off at Molineux but an injury filled spell at the club put paid to his chances of makiing a name of himself.

Finally, his four years of torture came to an end when Alan Pardew brought him to the Madejski on a one month loan in March 2000. Pards brought him back home permanently just weeks later.

Tomorrow Adie will play against Wolves for the first time since his departure, a match he is very much looking forward to.

"It was a fantastic club to play for. But my time there was blighted by injuries from day one. I was out for six months with a cruciate ligament injury, and things went from bad to worse," he said speaking to Reading World.

"But I loved my time there, met some fantastic people, and I'm looking forward to going back."
