Reading netted another valuable three points at home to Ipswich on Saturday but the game hinged on one key decision, the sending off of Tractor Boys striker Pablo Coungao.

Defender Adie Williams claims that he was shoved by the former Spanish under 21 star, and although it was worthy of a dismissal it wasn't a malicious incident.

Williams told readingfc.co.uk: "To be honest we've won the ball and we've got up, the lad has raised his arms and pushed me.

"As I've said before, in the heat of the moment we've all done those sorts of things but unfortunately you can't do it nowadays.

"He's a quality player and Ipswich will be gutted to lose him, but it's just one of those things. It was not malicious but we've all done it, he's a good player as well and they're a good team."

At the time of the incident the Royals were just edging encounter by two goals to one but Town were pushing hard for an equaliser.

Two minutes after Counago's sixty-seventh minute red card Nicky Forster netted for the third time, putting Reading out of the Tractor Boys reach.
