Watford v Reading

Last updated : 23 April 2010 By BBC Sport

Reading central defender Matt Mills will return from suspension.

Winger James Henry has a knock and will be assessed, while Ivar Ingimarsson (hamstring) is out and Marek Matejovsky is sidelined after a stomach operation.

MATCH PREVIEW

Relegation-threatened Watford are two places above the bottom three and go into their final home match of the season badly needing a win to ease their fears of the drop.

Tuesday's defeat at QPR continued their dismal away form. The Hornets are without a win in 16 away matches and are unlikely to relish the prospect of heading to Coventry on the final day of the season with their Championship status on the line.

Before that potentially crucial match, they could take a massive step towards safety if they defeat Reading, who have been beaten on only one of their last six visits to Vicarage Road.

Watford have lost their last two matches and won only one of their last nine, while Reading are heading for a mid-table finish to an arduous season. The Royals' cup exploits mean they have played 52 matches this term - more than any other Championship side.
