Warren Receives Squad Place

Eighten-year-old midfielder Steve Warren was signed just last April on a one-year deal, turning his back on Selhurst Park side Crystal Palace. After impressing in recent pre-season friendlies against Banbury and Bournemouth Alan Pardew has had the youngster added to his squad.

Warren, who registered his first Reading goal in the friendly at Basingstoke, has been allocated the squad number twenty-eight.

Following the clash with Banbury United the latest addition to the Royals squad said: "It’s always to nice to play with experienced players, but for me it’s just a case of carrying on what I’m doing and trying to be around the first team at the start of the season."

Around the squad he most certainly is - much can be expected from the talented midfielder over the coming months.
