Young midfielder Warren, who signed a one-year deal back in April, admitted he is hoping to break into the first team after playing ninety minutes against Banbury in a pre season friendly.

The youngster told readingfc.co.uk: It was a good run-out, I enjoyed it. I got a lot out of it fitness-wise, and I thought we played well as a team.

"It’s always to nice to play with experienced players, but for me it’s just a case of carrying on what I’m doing and trying to be around the first team at the start of the season.

"Everyone here looks after you, it was nice to start with all the lads. I enjoyed every minute of it."

Kevin Dillon commented on Warren's performance, he told readingfc.co.uk: "Warren set things up for us throughout the game, but he has to get fit. Fitness is a massive percentage of playing football nowadays. He needs to get fitter and he understands that. It is something he knows he has to work on with Niall Clark."
