The next Royals match scheduled for the Madejski Stadium, against Walsall a week on Saturday, could be called off due to international call-ups.

If, as expected, Steven Sidwell is wanted by England Under 21 boss David Platt to play against Macedonia Under 21s, the game will be called off as the Royals have already got two international call-ups.

Three players must be away on international duty for a game to be postponed, and Reading are already to be without Omar Daley and Adie Williams who have been called-up.

Daley, who made his Royals debut against Rotherham yesterday, is scheduled to play for Jamaica against Australia in an international friendly at the Madejski Stadium on the Sunday.

The Welsh meanwhile are in Italy on the Saturday for their crunch Euro 2004 qualifier. Should injury set in for any of the Welsh defence, Williams could find himself lining against Alessandro Del Piero and Chrisitan Vieri.

Reading will not find out for certain if the Walsall game is to be called off until Friday 29th August when David Platt will announce his squad.

However, fans keen to get their football fix that first weekend in September could attend the Australia V Jamaica game. Tickets are priced at £17 for adults and £10 for under 16s and over 65s. At present, in the region of 1,500 tickets for the game have been sold.
