Viveash has joined Oxford on loan
It had been widely reported last weekend that Viveash was set to join Oxford United once Alan Pardew had brought in another centre-back after he had been told that he could leave on a free transfer.

However, Pards has appeared to make a u-turn on his original promise, the 31-year-old has joined on a one month loan deal which is to expire on 5th October. If everything goes according to plan there is a chance the move could become permenent.

Adi Viveash goes straight into the squad for Oxford's game against Torquay United tomorrow, and the Royals have also given permission for Viveash, who lists Swindon Town and Walsall amongst his former clubs, permission to play in the Worthington Cup with the Kassam Stadium based side.

Therefore, Adi will be 'cup tied' and unable to play for the Royals in that competition this year.

Meanwhile, the paperwork for Matthew Upson's loan move has now been completed, meaning he should make his debut against Rotherham tomorrow.
