Tyson Nets Twice On England Debut

The 20-year-old, who many believed was only included to boost the Madejski Stadium attendance, was head and shoulders above the rest as England beat their German counterparts by two goals to one.

Tyson was later awarded the Man of the Match award for his stunning performance. The 16,820 strong crowd was the largest ever for an England Under 20 fixture.

Wearing the number nine shirt, Tyson could have put England ahead after just thirty seconds but blasted over the crossbar when well placed.

But with seven minutes on the clock his moment came. Struggling to break free from his man Tys unleashed a left-footed thunderbolt before wheeling away and tearing off his shirt in celebration.

The Germans leveled before half time but it was to be Tyson's night. Just after the hour mark the pacy Thierry Henry esque youngster volleyed home a second, almost identical to the first.

The Royals youngster, who has recently broken into the first team, will be unable to travel to the United Arab Emirates for this summer's World Championships with the squad that coach les Read believes will go on to be the best bunch of youngsters ever, as he will be too old to be eligible to play.
