Steve Coppell ahead of the trip to Upton Park

There are rumours the Argentinian imports are unhappy and on the pitch the Hammers are failing.

Last night they wee knocked out of the Uefa Cup and in the league they have not won since the opening day.

Steve Coppell said of the opposition

"There are quite a few players here now who Alan brought to the club. The core of the team he established has carried the club through the divisions so he has been a fundamental part of this club's success without doubt.

"I don't know what to make of their start because I don't watch them. I have seen a couple of tapes of course but they have a very good manager there and I am sure he will sort it out.

"You look at the players he has there and you have nothing but respect for them. He hasn't got a combination at the moment which is bringing success for him but it is only just round the corner, I'm sure."

There is also talk of a takeover and all of these things are combining to destablise the club. Hopefully Reading can capitalise and bring home three points.
