Royals Injury Update

With less than a month to go until the start of the season its time for an update on injuries to the Royals squad.

John Mackie - Ankle

After fears that he had done damage to cartilidge in his ankle John is back in training and should be playing again shortly.

Darius Henderson - Knee

Having spent the summer nursing his cruciate ligament injury Darius is slowly returning to full fitness. He is currently working on his jumping and should be fit for Friday's game at Kidderminster. His injury, which the physios chose not to operate on, has been troubling him since Christmas.

Adie Whitbread - Foot

After missing eight months of last season with a knee injury Whits sustained what, at first sight, looked like a broken foot in training on Friday. However, x-rays revealed it was not that serious. He should be back in training shortly but will probably not be fit for the Kidderminster game.

Kevin Watson - Foot

Having suffered blisters Kevin, a £150,000 signing from Rotherham was forced to miss Saturday's friendlies, however, he is now fit to return to training.
