Royals coach Wally Downes clashed with Neil Warnock after a gesture from the Blades boss sparked a touchline melee. United admitted the charge and both clubs have requested personal hearings. Downes has also admitted a misconduct charge, while United winger Keith Gillespie's ban has been extended to four games on a violent conduct charge. Gillespie admitted the offence after appearing to aim an elbow at Stephen Hunt as he left the field during the Royals' 3-1 victory, having already been sent off for a clash with the same player. The Northern Ireland international has already served two matches of the ban but will now miss the 24 February match at Liverpool as well as this weekend's game against Tottenham. The two clubs' personal hearings will be scheduled "in due course" according to the FA's website. |
