Winger Bobby Convey is available again for the Barclays Premier League contest following a calf injury and a successful run out for the reserves in midweek.

Winger John Oster (ankle) and utility man Kalifa Cisse (knee) remain unavailable although both have stepped up rehabilitation routines and could be back in training next week.

Newcastle's hopes of having striker Mark Viduka back for the trip have been dashed.

The Australia international, who has missed the matches against Everton and Tottenham because of a calf injury is still not ready to return.

But Sam Allardyce welcomes back Alan Smith who was suspended for Monday night's victory over Spurs.

Midfielder Charles N'Zogbia who was forced off at the interval because he was feeling unwell has recovered and is named in the squad.
