Reading Under-Rated In CM4?

Last updated : 01 April 2003 By Rob Cooper
The fourth installment of the multi-million selling Chanmpionship Manager series hit the shops on Friday and has been immensely successful, eclipsing the records of previous editions, selling 125,000 copies in the first week of it's release.

Whilst no one will begrudge the fact that it is a fine, fine game many people continue to argue that the Reading squad are severely under-rated.

Website Editor Rob Cooper was responsible for providing Sports Interactive with these statistics, e-mail him with details of how you think the Reading squad can be improved at rpcooper@ntlworld.com.

The more feedback that is received, the greater the chance that your quibbles can be sorted for a future update of CM4!

Indeed, if no signings are made the Royals squad struggle to maintain their Division One status, out-muscled by vastly superior teams. Having played the game I feel that the squad have been left at Division Two levels.

When moderating was done to ensure that all teams had been marked to the same scale it is quite clear that Reading got discarded, living up to their media reputation as a side who are there to make up the numbers.

A side fourth in the league aren't making up the numbers.

I feel that with the exception of John Salako, Anthony Rougier (who I am a big fan of), Nicky Forster, Adie Williams, Martin Butler and Marcus Hahnemann the squad needs much improving.

Indeed, players such as Nathan Tyson and James Harper are so dramatically under-rated that they would fit better into the Swindon Town side.

So e-mail me with your feedback and help make Championship Manager 4 an even better game!
