Post match Ipswich reaction

"It was a game we came into with big confidence but gave ourselves a mountain to climb by giving away a goal at the beginning. It was a stupid goal," Brendan Rodgers said.

"I thought we should have had a penalty when Shane Long was brought down near the end. It's clear there was contact when you see the TV replay. You usually get those at home.

"We had some really good moments in the first half but failed to capitalise. It's a frustrating end to a couple of good weeks."

And what did Roy Keane make of it?

"I thought it was a fair result," he said.

"They had more of the possession and put us under pressure. They are a big, strong side - which surprised me.

"I thought our last two performances were perhaps the poorest for a month. But we got results - and I always say that if you get results the table sorts itself out.

"Perhaps we scored too early - because as soon as we did, we thought we could sit back. But you can't do that."
