Royals captain Phil Parkinson knows that whatever eleven take to the firld against Derby on Saturday the effort will be the same - everyone will give absolutely 100%.

According to Parky everyone wants to play for each other, theres a great team spirit, which could take the royals a long way this season.

The former Bury midfielder told "There are lots of hungry players here trying to show that they are good enough to play in this division. Good organisation and team graft will take us a long way.

"Everyone wants to play, we've got a good set of lads. The club has been through a lot but we all get on well together and we'll pull together - the starting eleven will be representing all the lads and wearing the shirt with pride."

Meanwhile, the club have sold nearly seven thousand season tickets - if you haven't got one yet you must do soon! The first home league game is next Tuesday - Reading play Sheffield Wednesday.

The club are hoping for a crowd of twenty thousand plus for the opening league game against the Owls - 10,000 tickets have already been sold - that on top of the 7,000 ticket holders who are likely to be in attendance.

Fans wanting to attend the Derby County game and haven't got a ticket will have to try their mates to see if they have got a spare as Reading have completely sold out their allocation.
