A 3-0 win at home to Burnley was followed up by a 2-0 win over Walsall last week, to the pleasure of manager Alan Pardew.

Speaking after the Leicester game the Royals boss had been disappointed with his sides start to the season, they recorded just three points in four games.

Two wins out of two last week dramatically turned things around, Reading rose to tenth in the early season table, just one point behind the play-off places.

However, Pards is under no illusions, appreciating that his side face a massive task to repeat their maximum points from two games haul.

"Six points in a week is very, very good for a club that has just come up. I don't suppose we'll get many of those in a season," said Pardew, speaking to readingfc.co.uk.

"We had a good attitued at the start of the season, we didn't let our heads go down, I'me pleased with the players.

"I remember Ronnie Moore saying last year that they'd got ten points from ten games - we've got nine from six games so I'm pleased with that, it'something to build on and we could surprise a few."
