Incredulous as it may seem, those folks at The Mirror really managed to headline the potential move as athletics news.

To top it all off, reporter John Cross who wrote the piece, and possibly the headline as well, exclusively reveals that: "Pardew (is) under contract until June 2005".

Really John-o-boy? So whatever happened to that contract he signed which lasts until June 2006? Good to see you've checked your facts.
