Murty: 'We've nothing to lose'

Reading make the trip to Old Trafford on the back of an excellent 2-2 draw at champions Chelsea on Boxing Day.

The promoted side are again a big price to upset a title challenger, but Murty believes that could work in his team's favour.

The Royals skipper feels United will be relishing the game, but aims to ensure the title race remains exciting for the neutrals.

"I'm a Liverpool fan and their lot definitely want Man Utd to slip up," Murty told Sky Sports News.

"It's good for the championship and makes it that more interesting when it's that tight.

"As everyone has said it's going to go down to the wire and it's down to the top teams to keep on grinding out the results.

"I'm sure that's what Man Utd are looking forward to. They're looking forward to getting us at their place where they are expected to win.

"We're expected to be the underdogs. We know that, we embrace that, so we can say there's nothing for us to lose, so we'll go out there and give it our best.

"We'll be doing Chelsea a massive disservice if we did anything other than that."
