Reading have placed Brian McDermott in charge of first team affairs after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers.

McDermott is currently Chief Scout and he's set to take the side to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Saturday.

Rodgers assistant Dean Austin and part time Consultant Frank Lampard Snr are also set to leave the Madejski.

The search for a new manager starts now.
