Steve Coppell

"Nobody is bothered at this stage, least of all us because there's still such a long way to go," said Coppell. "I have said it before in relation to clubs I have managed in the past, and that is that this division can wear you down.

"It's very easy to spiral out of it, but we are on our toes and thankful for the three points today."

"We were wide-eyed at the start of the season and we are still wide-eyed at the moment because we are enjoying the challenge.

"This is an opportunity to play on the greatest stages against the world's best players - and I hope that is still the case at the end of the season."

"We knew there would be a Warnock-type reaction and after they'd scored we needed different qualities to get the three points.

"Overall, it was a very good display as we created a number of opportunities, but even towards the end of the first half we were taking our foot off the gas.

"At 2-0, that is a very dangerous scoreline but thankfully we managed to hold on and see the game out."

"I'm not sure it was all about the team.

"I thought there were one or two other things they were unhappy with, but I won't go into detail about that.

"Obviously they were disappointed with the first 30 minutes, like I was.

"In the second half I felt they appreciated the lads were trying and not making elementary mistakes.

"But after conceding a goal so early on and then playing like we did for that first half hour, I think I would have booed if I had paid good money to come here."
