Injury Free Royals All In Training

Normally teams suffer a lot of injuries in pre-season training because players suffer strains and pulls as they get back to their old schedule after a lazy summer.

But that is not the case for Reading Football Club, the whole squad is fit to train. The Royals squad are currently spending their time in Bavaria, training for the season ahead but physio Jon Fearn has got nothing to do - if someone doesn't get injured soon the club will be forced to make him redundant!

The Royals physio told readingfc.co.uk: "I'm bored stiff at the moment; which is a good sign because it means nobodies injured.

"Everyone trained today, including John Mackie who has been our main worry. He has recovered well from his ankle injruy and I'm expecting him to play on Saturday.

"Everyone else is fit and training, Even the long-term injury victims. Adie Whitbread and Ricky Newman have been doing very, very well. They get the odd niggles but no real problems.

"I'm quite glad I've got nothing to do - I hope it continues!"
