Inigmarsson has extended his current contract until 2009 while Gunnarsson's now runs to 2008.

Ingimarsson, 29, said: "This is a place I want to be, to play a part in what Reading is doing. The contract is recognition from the club that they have belief in me and think I can perform well in the Premiership, so I am very thankful for that."

Gunnarsson added: "I'm pleased to have been given this contract extension and I'm looking forward to the next year and a half."
