Coppell on the win over Fulham

"After that we almost relaxed, and following our recent run there was a certain amount of anxiety about winning. We've been reminded about our recent run many times over.

"We were conscious about getting three points, and we were playing a team desperate to win, so it wasn't made for fast and flowing football.

"As the game developed they became a bit more direct, and that's very dangerous. With McBride, Helguson, Diop and so on, every set piece is a challenge.

"The game became a bit focused on winning the second ball, but we were bright on it today.

"Although I have to say, I'm told Diop's goal was onside. The ref and linesman must have been concentrating on where the goalkicks and throw-ins were being taken."
