"It was hard for both teams to be creative. The emphasis was on competing and stopping things happening rather seeing if we can be more creative.

"I think they have probably had us firmly fixed on their radar after we played on Wednesday.

"So for us to come here after that (defeat at Newcastle), in what has been a big week for us, and get a point - we are probably slightly happier than Watford but still critical of ourselves for not creating more.

"It was a war of attrition, competitive with one-on-one battles all across the pitch.

"It was a day for defenders. It was difficult to find space.

"You look at it and you are not really satisfied, but at the end of the day you look at the table and you have clawed another point.

"So from that respect you think it is a good day's work."

"Just looking at the stats of what we have done so far, half of the games we have played we have drawn. That tells a story. We have won one and lost the others.

"It is encouraging for me as to keep clean sheets in a league of this standard is wonderful.

"But what we have to do, which is blindingly obvious, is to score goals.

"We are creating chances, but which happens when you are where we are, some of the players are electing to cross rather than shoot.

"So I think we have got to become a shooting team. When we were at Middlesbrough we were prepared to shoot and we scored, so we have got to get back to that.

"January is a key time as we have got to add to the depth that we have got.

"It is getting the right people and persuading them to come.

"I don't want to take anything away from these lads that have done great so far. We are battling for everything and I need to add some players to this terrific group we have got.

"We are where we are and I would not want to be with any other players at this particular time."
