Club Reach Decision Regarding Managerial Appointment

Last updated : 26 September 2003 By Rob Cooper

The Royals have sensationally decided not to interview Reading MAD Editor Rob Cooper.

The site editor, who lists his successful Championship Manager playing days amongst his achievements, this morning received a letter of rejection Reading Football Club.

Whilst the identity of the new manager is not yet known it seems mightily surprising that the Reading MAD Editor, with all his credentials, has been overlooked for the post.

In the letter to the editor, Chief Executive Nigel Howe explained: "our board feel that we will require a Manager with experience of a higher level of football and a proven track record within the professional game."

In a brief statement today, Rob revealed that he was disappointed to hear the clubs decision.

"The likes of Tony Adams and Steve Coppell may be interested in the job, but I honestly believe I could have led Reading into the Premiership. This morning's rejection letter was hard news to take," he explained to Reading MAD.
