Chairman Issues Sign-Up Command To Fans Following Murray Signing

Reading fans are in for some magical performances from the Royals next season according to chairman John Madejski.

The former Auto Trader owner has told fans who are yet to purchase a season ticket to do so, so that they do not miss out on the fantastic show that will be put on at the Madejski Stadium next season.

Reading yesterday performed another piece of transfer market wizardry to complete the signing of Bristol City winger Scott Murray, adding weight to the Berkshire club's claims that they will be pushing for promotion again this season.

Last season the Royals catapulted themselves into the footballing world, leaving conspiracy theorists to suggest that John Madejski has borrowed a wand from Hogwarts and waved it over the club's players.

However, John Madejski's magic wand certainly doesn't come from Diagon Ally, as it seems to be malfunctioning. The Reading Chairman, whilst able to regularly bring another player to the club with a swish of his wand, has been unable to magic up bumper crowds at the Madejski Stadium in the same way. Indeed, despite their fourth-place finish of last season crowds at times failed to get much above 14,000.

But with record season ticket sales for next season not everything is wrong with the Chairman's wand. Knowing that magic perhaps isn't the key to bumper crowds, the Reading chief has issued a rallying cry to supporters following the signing of Murray.

"The signing of Murray is a wake-up call for all the supporters who were wondering whether to buy season tickets or not - we're putting on a fantastic show here at the Madejski Stadium and we want more people to come and see it," said Madejski, speaking at a press conference this afternoon.

With new signing Scott Murray attempting to weave some magic on the wing this season coming, Alan Pardew attempting to perform magic tricks with his tactics and John Madejski continually flicking his wrist attempting to get the spell right for massive crowds, we could be in for quite a show at the Madejski Stadium next season.

Reading MAD, as keen supporters of Reading FC, and not in any way out to criticize the club, would like to advise all Royals fans who haven't bought a season ticket to do so!
