Reading's game against West Ham has been the one that fans have been waiting for, but it is nearly here, tickets go on sale this week.

Season ticket holders can get hold of their tickets for the West Ham game on Thursday, on a two-per-season ticket basis. STAR members can buy theirs from Monday 1st September, before any remaining seats go on general sale on Tuesday 2nd.

The Royals travel to the Hammers 35,600 capacity Boleyn Ground for their Nationwide Division One meeting on Saturday 13th September. The game kicks off at 3pm. It is sure to be an exciting encounter as both sides are hotly-tipped to challenge for promotion come May.

Although Glenn Roeder has joined a galaxy of stars in exiting Upton Park, West Ham's first eleven remains one of the strongest in the division. Englishman David James, Michael Carrick and Jermain Defoe have been joined at the club by summer arrivals Neil Mellor (loan), David Connolly and Rob Lee.

The Hammers have made a relatively poor start to the season, losing at Rotherham on Saturday 23rd August, having drawn their previous game against Sheffield United.

The Royals have been allocated 2,531 tickets for the game although more may well be available at request. Away fans are sat in the lower tier of the North Stand, behind one of the goals.

Tickets for the game will cost £22 for adults, £13 for over 65s and £10 for under 16s. For the disabled, wheelchair and helper tickets will cost £15.

At present STAR coach travel information is unavailable.
