Dillon: Don't Judge Me On Results!

Dillon, despite his diminishing chances, is still hoping to be the new Reading boss.

The Geordie has been in charge for three games now. In all of those matches the team have played aporlingly and they have lost two of those games. Whatsmore, he has refused top change his starting line-up at all. He has, to be blunt, hardly shown any of the required credentials.

Clinging onto the little hope he has left, Dillon said that he expects that he won't be judged on the team's performances in the past three games but on his two years as assistant manager.

"I don't think I will be judged on matches, I've been here two years and I'll be judged on that. I've been the assistant for the last two years and hopefully I'll be judged on that," he said, speaking after the game.

"It's not about results alone but performances and we were poor today, that was the most disappointing thing."

It now seems that Dillon has little chance of getting the job. Originally the former Birmingham City player seemed all-but guaranteed to get the job, the fans were very much in favour of his appointment. But after three poor performances Lawrie Sanchez and Bryan Robson have emerged as favourites for the role.
